  • Will my tan fade patchy/uneven?
The short answer is if you do not properly prep and follow after care instructions, yes it can. Below is a list of things you can do to avoid the issue! Best way to avoid a patchy fade: - Shower and exfoliate the day before NOT the day of - Make sure you are using tan friendly products. Check out my tan tips under Prep + Care - Do not moisturize or put any products on the skin the day of your tan - Avoid heavily sweating - Start to moisturize twice daily 24 hours after your tan appointment - Incorporate a tan extending lotion into your moisturizing routine - Shave your legs with a new razor and if possible use a tan friendly shave lotion
  • Can periods affect my spray tan?
Menstrual cycles, hormones & pregnancy, all these things can affect your spray tan, heres how: Your hormones regulate your entire body, and when you’re ovulating, menstruating, pregnant, or menopausal your hormone levels fluctuate. This causes pH balance shifts and moisture level of your skin drops, which, in turn, dehydrates the skin and makes it harder for the tan’s DHA to attach to. If you are on or around the time of your period, this may cause your spray tan to develop 20- 30% lighter than normal. Depending on your skin’s natural exfoliation rate, a normal tan can last anywhere from seven to 10 days. On your period, though, be prepared for it to last between six to eight days. Even if you prepped correctly and consistently slathered your freshly-bronzed skin in lotions (and avoiding hot showers and body scrubs, of course), your hormones could be working overtime to bring your tan down a notch. SO what can we do? The only way to combat this is to first balance the pH on the skin’s surface, and then spray with the tanning solution. Every appointment, I use PH spray (the clear mist that's cold) to help balance out the skin. This will allow the product to correctly penetrate the skin. But at the end of the day as a spray tan artist I can only control how the tan is applied I cannot control how your skin absorbs it so make sure you let me know at the time of your appointment!

  • Will a spray tan leave me looking orange?
Ah the dreaded question all spray tan artists get asked! I promise I don't want you leaving orange as much as you don't! Lucky for us spray tan solutions have come a long way since first being introduced to consumers, most solutions are now being formulated with anti-orange ingredients working with your skin to give you a flawless glow. I match our formula to each individual skin tone to ensure a natural-looking tan that complements your skin's natural undertones and avoiding the orange tint often associated with spray tans.
  • How long does a spray tan last?
The longevity of your spray tan depends on many factors, including your skin type, how well you prepare your skin beforehand, and how well you take care of your tan afterward. Typically, spray tans can last anywhere from 7+ days with proper maintenance.
  • Is the spray tan safe?
Yes! My spray tan formula is safe and FDA-approved and as natural and organic as spray tans can get. I also take great care in making sure that each client's needs are addressed during the consultation process, ensuring that any allergies or concerns are taken into account before applying the spray tan.
  • Do I need to prepare my skin before getting a spray tan?
Yes. Proper preparation is crucial to achieving the best possible results. I recommend exfoliating the night before your appointment and moisturizing your skin as much as you can before the day of your appointment. You should also avoid applying any lotions, oils, makeup or deodorants on the day of your appointment. For pre and post- tan instructions, check out the Prep + Care page.
  • Can I still wear makeup after getting a spray tan?
It's recommend waiting until your tan is developed and you've had your first shower before applying any makeup or lotion to the skin after a spray tan. This will allow the tan to fully develop and ensure that the makeup does not interfere with the tan. Keep in mind any harsh products used to remove makeup could potentially remove the tan as well. Please ensure all products used after your spray tan are oil free, avoid Dove soaps as well.
  • What should I wear during my spray tan appointment?
You can wear anything from a 2 piece bathing suit, bra & underwear, just underwear or fully nude! Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable! I also provide nipple covers if you don't want the tan lines from a bra. I recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing to and from your appointment. Tight clothing can rub against the skin and cause the tan to rub off in certain areas. I also recommend bringing flip flops or sandals to wear after your appointment to avoid smudging the tan.
  • How long does a spray tan appointment take?
A regular spray tan appointment typically takes about 20- 30 minutes from start to finish, depending on the client's needs. If adding full body contour that can take an extra 15-20 mins.
